Katerra Announces Expanded CLT Product Offering

As we mark the first anniversary of Katerra’s Cross-laminated Timber (CLT) Factory launch, we are proud to announce an expanded CLT product line. New product expansions include certified Douglas Fir-Larch (DF-L) and Spruce-Pine-Fir (SPF) species combinations available in two stress grades. We are pleased to continue offering more diverse and flexible solutions to inspire and enable mass timber design and construction.

Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award Honors Kendeda Building Project

Katerra Design Partner Lord Aeck Sargent (LAS ) was honored this month by the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Awards, along with the other members of the project team that helped to bring the inspiring building to life.

Kendeda, on the campus of The Georgia Institute of Technology, is a living prototype for sustainability, situated in the most challenging of climates. It is slated to be first Living Building of its kind in the Southeast United States, and the largest higher education building to achieve certification, setting a new standard for sustainability.

PACE: Construction Complete

PACE is an integrated turnkey project that brings the Katerra Building Platform vision to life. PACE was designed for manufacturing and assembly, with Katerra managing end-to-end across design, material supply, manufacturing, and construction. Located in Spring Valley, Nevada, just two miles west of the Las Vegas strip, the eight-acre apartment complex is located in a populated suburb of the city.

North Carolina

The Penrose: Construction Complete

The Penrose, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, captures the industrial charm and culture of Charlotte’s booming South End neighborhood. The type V complex consists of 350 units of studio, 1-, and 2-bedroom apartments and includes amenities from gym and pool to gaming room, sky lounge, and flexible work spaces within the complex.

River Club in Bogota, NJ

New Jersey

River Club: Construction Complete

The River Club complex in Bogota, New Jersey includes 421 luxury apartments in 5 buildings and features a riverfront walkway, and space for retailers. The mixed-use project includes 8,000 square feet of retail space, transforming an industrial section of the river into a walkable neighborhood. Learn more about this project.

Hamilton Cove: Construction Complete

Recently awarded an American Concrete Institute of New Jersey award for concrete construction, Hamilton Cove is a 573-unit project consisting of three buildings rising 15 stories that are joined by a three-story shared podium base. The project is a mixed-use development with 719 parking spaces and 52,231 square feet of high-end amenity space including a landscaped rooftop outdoor pool, two lounges, a theater, and a golf simulation room. 87 Newkirk in Jersey City, NJ

New Jersey

87 Newkirk: Construction Complete

87 Newkirk Street, in Journal Square, Jersey City is a 15-story mixed use project. The 129,500 square foot project includes retail space on ground floor and office space on the second and third floors. The residential units above will be rental apartments configured in studios and co-living suites with rooftop amenities. Ollie, which specializes in co-living properties, has signed a lease with the developer, Namdar Group, for the entire building.

Graduate Hotel and ōLiv Residences: Construction Complete

Katerra teamed up with Core Spaces, Up Campus Properties, A.J. Capitol Partners and Antunovich Associates to construct a new state-of-the-art mixed-use project with a boutique hotel, retail and restaurant use, and residential apartments. This 14 story building is adjacent to the Maingate entry at the University of Arizona.
